We have been advised of the following:

693417 Ronald Kepa (Ron) TUHAKA, ex 1NZ Regiment 1961-63 Malaya, 1RNZIR 1963-65 Malaysia, passed away at Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, on 24 July 2010 aged 69.

Ron is lying at Tuatini Marae, Tokomaru Bay. There will be a Karakia at 1900hrs each night.

A Church Service is to be held at Tuatini Marae, Main Road, Tokomaru Bay,on 28 July 2010 at 1100hrs. Then Ron will travel to St Mary's Church,Tikitiki, for a final Church Service at 1400hrs, from whence he will be taken to Tawata Urupa to be laid to rest.

Ron leaves a widow, Betty, and children, Ross, Dominic and Richard.

Betty has requested an RSA funeral. Malaya and other veterans are encouraged to attend Medals to be worn please.
